So great to see you again! Another week, another great challenge ~ and this week we even have some new images for you!
Here in the United States, we are gearing up for our Independence Day holiday, so it only seemed right to rock us some red, white and blue! That is your mission!
Before we share our fabulous lineup, we have a couple of quick announcements!
First, Groovy Guest Erica is staying on for the rest of the term as a bona fide Groovy Gurl! Congrats, Erica! Keep on groovin’!

HAPPY Thursday, Groovy Groupies!!
Normally I would be amazed at how time has flown, but WOW! I didn’t think Thursday would ever get here!! This is such a fun challenge this week – fantastic samples from the amazing Groovies and (*pats self on back*) it’s a fun challenge with infinite possibilities! I have a little sketch to go along with this one, too ~ but as always, I highly encourage you to GO NUTS, and make it your own!
Yes, I completely acknowledge that it is a silly name for a challenge, but since I make it my life’s work to sound like a goofball, I ran with it! ) I’m not even sure what exactly a ‘Bottom Dollar’ is… any theories? Just like it sounds, it was inspired by the almighty DOLLAR! In general, they are all similarly sized around the world, and all very decorative! I like the unique size and shape of the currency… in particular, I was looking at a new $10 USD, which has that peachy tint to it, and the off-centered oval. SO… break out of your standard-card-sized boxes and let’s make some magic!

This week is going to be so much fun! Our own DT Queen Margie came up with this delish recipe, and as always, the Gurlz completely crushed it! The challenge is this: Use black paper, pearls, and a skull on your project… OH, the possibilities! Are you sitting? Of course you are… This week’s lineup has some of the coolest color combinations and some really clever details! Par for the course with this group, though, right? Before we get rolling this week, a couple of quick announcements! First, we have to say goodbye to SuperGroovy Tonya, who will be taking off her Super Woman cape for a while. Next, we are completely stoked that Guest Gurl Juanita Gillen is going to stay on in the Asylum permanently! You should be very excited too – getting to see her cool creations every week! Finally, just a reminder that you should *really* go scroll back through the last few challenges and check out the INCREDIBLE submissions from our super-Groovy readers! As far as I’m concerned, you can never have too much groovy eye-candy to gawk at! Go look!
