TTIC59 ~ Sparkle, Baby! ::PLUS:: TTSC17 ::PLUS:: Pink Elephant Challenge #48… Phew…

Got all that? Well, don’t be too impressed – I combined several challenges. Okay, all three. Details – pish… For those of you who wonder what particular language that the title is written in, let me decipher for you! LOL TTIC (TwilightTuesday.com Inspiration challenge); TTSC (TwilightTuesday’s SKECTH challenge) and the Pink Elephant, which Tonya is sponsoring & Guest Designing for (Rock On!) this week, is a multipurpose challenge. This week, the PE theme is 3 Designer Papers, 2 Buttons and a Snowflake. Clever! I may have to start stalking that challenge site next… you know, because I am SO up to date on all the other blogs I follow! Gah!!

Anyhoo… Henry’s Snowman (SI Stamps) seemed an appropriate fit, with his snowman and all. The layout is Dani’s latest & greatest TT sketch. I LOVE this layout! Let me apologize to those Type-A’s out there… I really tried to be good with the squares lining up, but I decided that the MOP* technique would serve me best here. Serious blast-from-the-past with the swirled DP from Stampin’ Up. There is no chance I will be able to recall the name of it – Anyone?? – but it is from a looong time ago! And, you will just have to trust me that everything in this sparkles! I used my clear Spica from StampHappens’ Shop, and some Angel Wing colored Shimmerz to get the snowy sparkle going! I haven’t used my Shimmerz for a while – must remedy that, as well! I am also on a coloring-in-my-backgrounds kick. For some reason, I just love how that looks, and still affords me the light platform for the faces and highlights. Doesn’t it make the snowman pop, though? Call me crazy! LOL!

To accommodate the PE challenge, I added the three buttons and punched out a snowflake. I think I had a harder time getting buttons on here than lining up (and ultimately giving up!) the squares! I did my little tie-dyeing schtick on the Peace, Love & Snow Days, which I of course flubbed up the snowflakes in the letters by coloring over with the blue Spica, and not the clear. Another disturbing revelation was that I am completely out of white paper, so the marker coloring direct to stamp didn’t transfer so well on the Confetti White. It has a rougher texture to it – not the glorious ultra-smooth finish of the Whisper White I hold so dear. Overall, I think it is a pretty cool card, though! I love me some Henry! And I covered three challenges, to boot! I feel so accomplished!

I am dying to show you the next Sneaky Peek, but it will have to wait… maybe tomorrow? Gah!!
