Under My Spell…

Ooh – I love Halloween!  I have more fun doing Halloween cards than almost anything else!  Wanna see one?  I am SO excited that I got my order of Nesties from Tonya   Oh, man – I am a crafting fool now!  Which feels SO good after the last few months of chaos!  Yeah – just feels good.    Onward friends! I give you… Morgan…

spell

I know, it probably makes me a little uncool to love my own stuff so much, but I just really DIG Morgan!  Ooh!  And check out those Nesties! (For those who have no idea what I am talking about, Nestabilities are the dies that cut the oval shapes I matted Morgan on!)  I am over the moon with them!  She just looks so much cuter cropped into an oval than a boring old matted square, right?  Yeah, I think so too. I bet I have about 5 or 6 Morgans (and Henrys for that matter!) colored, just waiting to be used.  It’s just fun to color her!  I think I am really 5 at heart…  There’s nothing wrong with that!  No reason to mock me for coloring the placemats my son gets at restaurants… nothing abnormal about that.  At all.  Seriously.

Yeah – anyway, I am also on a bit of a collage/Mod Podge bender.  The background is some designed tissue paper from the *gasp* greeting card section of the grocery store!  I was NOT buying cards – I was merely walking BY the card section to get some milk!  Honest!   Back to my point – I scrunched it all up, because many of you already know that I tend to lean towards the imperfect ~ and embrace it!  LOL   ‘Cuz really, the more I try to make something look perfect, the worse it looks.  So Messy it up On Purpose, I say!  The MOP philosophy works well for me.  Slap some Mod Podge (No disrespect to the MP peeps, but I think that unless you are shooting for the shiny look of the Glossy MP, that Elmer’s glue from the kiddos stash would work just as beautifully for a lot less coin!) down and smash away!  Get out some frustration, or just use a brayer.  Good times…

Anyway, I also used another SI Stamps set, Otherworldly Loves and slapped a “Paranormal Princess” down there and we have a card I really dig.  Got a few more to share, but you know how time flies when you are fighting with your blog settings…   Until next time…  Savor your Insanity!

What a beauty of a card, Beth! And girl, you SHOULD be loving your stuff because your stuff is awesome. That is all there is to it! I love Morgan mounted on the ovals – it does look so neat and polished that way!
